EHS Officer Job Responsibilities

Audits and Compliance

- Handle internal and external EHS audits (Legal, ISO, FRA, SOC, and Customer Audits)

- Coordinate with third-party vendors for environmental testing

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Data Management and Reporting

- Maintain records of hazardous waste disposal according to category

- Prepare annual returns (Form-03, 04) and Environmental Statements

Training and Awareness

- Organize training sessions for employees on EHS procedures

- Develop environmental awareness among employees

- Conduct emergency drills, exercises, and training with workers

Safety Management

- Discuss safe working methods with supervisors, foremen, and technical departments

- Prepare why-why analysis of fire incidents and accident reports

- Plan and implement Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies & program

Policy Development and Review

- Advise and lead employees on safety-related topics

- Prepare educational seminars and webinars on a regular basis

- Review existing policies and procedures

Risk Management and Prevention

- Conduct risk assessments

- Enforce preventative measures

- Collaborate with HR to develop a new employee on-boarding process for safety
