Land Acquisition Executive

Position Overview:

As a Land Acquisition Specialist for Solar Projects, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing land for the development of solar energy projects. This role plays a vital part in the early stages of project development, ensuring the land acquired meets legal, environmental, and technical requirements. You will collaborate with various teams to facilitate smooth and efficient land acquisition processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Identification and Evaluation:

Conduct in-depth research to identify potential land sites suitable for solar projects, considering factors such as proximity to electrical infrastructure, land size, topography, and environmental impact.

Collaborate with environmental experts, surveyors, and other relevant professionals to assess the feasibility of identified sites.

• Landowner Negotiations:

Initiate and maintain negotiations with landowners to secure land for acquisition, ensuring fair and mutually beneficial agreements.

Communicate project details, benefits, and potential impacts effectively to landowners, addressing any concerns and questions.

• Due Diligence:

Perform thorough due diligence on selected sites, including title searches, environmental assessments, and regulatory compliance checks.

Collaborate with legal teams to ensure all necessary permits and approvals for land use are obtained.

• Contract Management:

Draft, review, and manage land acquisition contracts, ensuring they align with the goals of the project and comply with legal requirements.

Negotiate terms with landowners and legal representatives to minimize risks and maximize project success.

• Stakeholder Coordination:

Work closely with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and environmental specialists, to gather input and meet project requirements.

Engage with government agencies, community stakeholders, and external parties to gain support for land acquisition and smooth project development.

• Budget Oversight:

Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage budgets related to land acquisition, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial goals.

• Project Reporting:

Provide regular updates on the status of land acquisition, addressing any challenges and proposing solutions to ensure projects stay on track and within schedule.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Proven experience in land acquisition for renewable energy projects, preferably within the solar industry.

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build positive relationships with landowners and stakeholders.

Knowledge of environmental regulations, land-use policies, and permitting processes.

Excellent communication and project management skills.

Familiarity with GIS software and other tools for site assessment.
