Job Summary: We seek an experienced Executive Director with a strong background in import/export and government liaisoning to lead our organisation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving business growth, building strategic partnerships, and navigating complex regulatory environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

1. Develop and implement organisational strategies to enhance import/export operations and trade facilitation.
2. Foster collaboration between stakeholders, including government agencies, trade associations, and industry players.

Government Liaisoning

1. Build and maintain relationships with key government officials, ministries, and regulatory bodies.
2. Advocate for policy changes and reforms beneficial to the industry.
3. Facilitate communication between members and government agencies.

Import/Export Operations

1. Oversee import/export documentation, compliance, and logistics.
2. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Business Development

1. Identify opportunities to expand membership and services.
2. Develop and execute business plans to increase revenue.

Representational Duties

1. Represent the organization at national/international forums, conferences, and meetings.
2. Engage with media, stakeholders, and the public.

Financial Management

1. Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
2. Ensure financial sustainability and growth.

Requirements:Education

1. Master's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or related fields.

Experience

1. Minimum 8-10 years in import/export, trade facilitation, or related sectors.
2. Proven experience in government liaisoning and policy advocacy.
3. 5+ years in leadership roles.

Skills

1. Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and trade agreements.
2. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
3. Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
4. Familiarity with industry-specific software and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:Certifications

1. Certified Trade Professional (CTP) or similar certifications.
