Database Administrator - SQL Server (4-7 yrs)

Job Description :

As a SQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of SQL Server databases. You will ensure optimal performance, security, and availability of the database infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install and configure SQL Server instances.

- Create and manage databases, schemas, and objects.

- Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and execution plans.

- Implement performance tuning strategies to improve query response times.

- Perform regular backups and restore tests.

- Develop and test disaster recovery plans.

- Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and security breaches.

- Provide technical support to application developers and end-users.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong understanding of SQL Server database architecture and concepts.

- Proficiency in T-SQL and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).

- Experience with database design, normalization, and optimization.

- Knowledge of database security best practices.

- Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

- Knowledge of cloud-based database services (Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS).

- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).

- Certification in Microsoft SQL Server
