Operations Project Manager (PMO), Thane

The Plant Project Manager Officer you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects related to the manufacturing plant operations. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while aligning with the overall plant strategy. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors to drive project success.

Location- Thane

Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Management:

• Lead end-to-end management of multiple projects in the manufacturing plant, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring timely execution.

Execution & Monitoring:

• Coordinate with internal teams, including production, engineering, and procurement, to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Oversee contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure quality standards and timelines are met.
• Monitor project progress using relevant project management tools and techniques, adjusting plans as needed.

Stakeholder Management:

• Liaise with senior leadership to provide regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.
• Work with plant managers and department heads to ensure seamless integration of project outcomes into plant operations.
• Manage communication with all stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are aligned with project deliverables.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are met during project execution.
• Manage project changes and assess the impact on timelines and budgets.

Cost Control & Reporting:

• Monitor project costs, ensuring all expenditures are within budgetary limits.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on project performance, budget status, and resource utilization.
• Evaluate project outcomes and propose improvements for future projects.

Continuous Improvement:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes.

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technologies relevant to manufacturing projects.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.

Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of experience in project management within a manufacturing or plant environment.

Other Requirements

• Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
