Engineer I Mechanical Engineering IX

Description of Essential Duties:
To work in the Global Environment for Design Engineering support activities for New Product development, VAVE, SFA orders and Improvement projects.
To plan and manage Engineering support work on NPI & other improvement projects with desired quality output and timeframe in coordination with Senior team members.
To Work on projects/assignments (short or long term) such as on Concept design, NPD, Bills of Materials, CAD Modelling & its detailing (using Creo Tool) & Change Orders to maintain desired quality levels set by the organization.
Quick to acquire and understand Product knowledge required to execute projects as needed.
Work on the design and development of parts and assemblies and provide design packages, including 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOM structures.
Must also be able to work independently with little guidance.
Interact with other team members at different Global locations frequently to coordinate projects and meet product design requirements and deadlines.
Participate in regularly scheduled Customer and internal review meetings.
He/ She will be responsible for providing project estimations based on the requirements received.
Adherence to the project management process set by the organization.
As part of the Global Engineering Function, he/she is expected to maintain the desired quality and schedule adherence defined by the organization and report as per the defined communication plan.
Acknowledge additional stretch responsibilities given by the organisation and execute them responsibly.

Required Competency:
1. Minimum Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant exposure to design environment.
2. 3-5 years of experience on the Creo platform in the Sheetmetal domain is a must.
3. Must be an expert in 3D modelling and detailing work on Creo with experience in generating Bills of Materials. Should also possess relevant experience and understanding of the CO process.
4. Working experience on any PLM tools. Agile or Oracle PD Cloud or Windchill will be an added advantage
5. Knowledge about sheetmetal features in Creo is a must. Working experience in a fabrication environment would be an added advantage.
6. Experience in Data Center Cooling systems / HVAC design is an added advantage
7. Good Interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
8. Self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, Willingness to learn and organized
9. Experience in handling large CAD assemblies in CREO and managing modifications as required.
10. Hands-on experience in External Simplified representation is an added advantage.
