Estimation Engineer

Velmurugan Industries Pvt. Ltd., a leader in heavy fabrication and manufacturing solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimation Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate project cost estimation and coordination across teams to deliver high-quality results to our clients.

Qualifications:

• B.E., in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Experience in heavy fabrication or machining industries is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineering Drawing Analysis: Thoroughly study fabrication and machining drawings to understand project requirements.
• Bill of Materials (BOM) & Planning: Prepare BOM, CAD drawings, and cutting plans to calculate raw material requirements accurately.
• Vendor Coordination:
• Send enquiries to suppliers for raw materials and bought-out items.
• Communicate with external sub-vendors to gather pricing for specialized manufacturing activities such as bending, pressing, heat treatment, shearing, etc.
• Cost Estimation & Pricing: Compile data from suppliers, sub-vendors, and internal teams to prepare an accurate estimation sheet a
• Customer Interaction: Prepare and send commercial offers, including detailed terms, to customers.
