Design Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Velmurugan Industries Pvt. Ltd., If youre passionate about precision engineering and contributing to world-class projects, this is your chance to excel!

Qualifications:

• B.E., in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD / Solid works software and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Experience in heavy fabrication or machining industries is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create CADD and detailed engineering drawings for fabrication and machining.
• Prepare and update BOM (Bill of Materials) from engineering designs.
• Develop cutting plans for raw materials to ensure optimal utilization.
• Analise customer engineering drawings to list bought-out items.
• Prepare separate drawings for forgings and castings in proof-machined condition.
• Design jigs and fixtures to streamline production processes.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Strong understanding of fabrication and machining processes.
• Experience in BOM preparation and material planning.
• Knowledge of forgings, castings, and production tooling.
• Team player with excellent attention to detail.
