Quality Engineer - Crown Wheel, Pinion & Straight Bevel

Role & responsibilities

Set up approval for machining of Crown Wheel, Pinion & Bevel gear cutting

Issuance of gauges to machine operators

Determining root cause of defects and assists in the corrective action process.

Taking corrective & preventive actions for any non-conformance occurs.

Maintaining Pre-Dispatch Inspection Reports (PDIR).

Facing Internal & External Audit at department level.

Making of layout inspection and product audit plan.

Gauge planning, calibration and maintenance.

Rejection booking, rework and rejection improvement planning.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate must be from gear manufacturing industry

Candidate must have good knowledge of in-process & final quality process of Crown Wheel, Pinion & Straight Bevel

Awareness of IATF 16949, PPAP, FMEA documentation

Knowledge of Gleason (5 cut) & Face Hobbing on Klingenberg (2 cut)

Lapping, testing & paring of contact pattern (convex & concave)

Establishing Bevel & Hypoid gear pair with Gleason & Oerlikon setup

Gear Knocking Noise Reduction, Crown Wheel and Pinion Noise Problem

Rough cut & finish cut
