Purpose of the role
Purpose is to lead the financial control and reporting function. Financial Reporting and Consolidation Manager will be responsible to work closely with the functional head to ensure the accuracy of financial data, compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support decision-making and drive business growth
Key Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the financial reporting and consolidation processes, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards- Manage the general ledger accounting activities, including month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, and journal entries- Coordinate with Finance Shared Service Centers (SSC) and other departments to facilitate the consolidation of financial data- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, financial risks, and opportunities- Coordinate with the India CFO for the validation and finalization of standalone and consolidated financial statements- Oversee compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls related to financial reporting and consolidation- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process and timely resolution of audit findings- Manage GST annual audit compliance, including turnover reconciliation and tax audit, along with preparing notes to the accounts for the financial statements.- Drive process improvements and digitization initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and consolidation operations
Job specifications
Experience-
- 8 to 12 years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and general ledger accounting roles, preferably in a multinational corporation- Track record of managing financial reporting, internal controls, and financial analysis- Demonstrated experience in managing complex financial reporting processes and coordinating with multiple stakeholders- Familiarity with IND AS for preparation of consolidated and stand alone financial statement
Qualification-
Bachelor's and Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) would be advantageous
Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6+ years of post qualification experience
Competence:-
Behavioural - Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and guide a finance team effectively- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and financial integrity- Proactive approach to problem-solving and financial analysis
Functional- Thorough understanding of financial control and compliance practices- Knowledge of financial analysis and performance metrics- Familiarity with pricing strategies and their impact on profitability
Technical- Proficiency in financial accounting and reporting standards (e.g., Ind AS)- Advanced knowledge of financial analysis techniques and ability to provide guidance on modeling variables to perform scenario analysis etc- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) and financial reporting software (FCCS)
