Tableau Developer - Dashboard Design (3-5 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Tableau Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau.

You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and deliver actionable insights. This role requires strong technical skills in Tableau and SQL, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau, ensuring they are visually appealing and user-friendly.

- Optimize dashboards for performance, usability, and scalability, ensuring efficient data processing and visualization.

- Implement best practices for Tableau development, including data blending, calculated fields, and dashboard design.

- Troubleshoot dashboard issues and ensure data accuracy, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions.

- Integrate Tableau with various data sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and cloud platforms, for seamless data flow.

- Prepare, model, and transform data for visualization, ensuring data quality and consistency.

- Utilize SQL for data extraction and transformation, developing efficient queries and stored procedures.

- Understand and apply data warehousing and BI concepts to design and implement data models.

- Work with stakeholders to understand their data visualization requirements and translate them into effective Tableau solutions.

- Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau dashboards and reports.

- Document processes and maintain up-to-date documentation for Tableau development and maintenance.

- Analyze business needs and translate them into visual insights, providing actionable recommendations.

- Utilize data blending and calculated fields to create complex visualizations and derive meaningful insights.

- Develop and maintain data dictionaries and metadata to ensure data governance and understanding.

Technical Skills :

Essential :

- Tableau (Dashboard Development, Performance Optimization).

- SQL (Data Extraction, Transformation).

- Data Modeling and Preparation.

- Data Warehousing and BI Concepts.

- Data Blending and Calculated Fields.

- Experience with other BI tools like Power BI.

- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R (optional).

- Understanding of cloud platforms and data integration methods
