Senior Power BI Developer - Dashboard Design (2-4 yrs)

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI Desktop.

- Connect Power BI Desktop to various data sources, including SQL Server (desirable), and other relevant sources.

- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and modeling within Power BI to prepare data for visualization. Utilize advanced DAX calculations (Aggregate, Date, Logical, String, Table) to create complex measures and KPIs.

- Publish reports to app.powerbi.com, configure connections, and schedule data refreshes.

- Create a variety of visualizations, including slicers, lines, pies, histograms, maps, scatter plots, bullet charts, heat maps, tree maps, and other appropriate chart types.

- Develop dashboards, volume reports, operating summaries, presentations, and graphs to meet business requirements.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into effective data visualizations.

- Ensure the accuracy, quality, and performance of Power BI reports and dashboards.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and data connections.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices.

- Provide training and support to end-users on how to use Power BI reports and dashboards.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for Power BI development.

Required Skills :

- 2+ years of hands-on experience in MS Power BI development.

- Expert knowledge of Power BI Desktop and DAX calculations (Aggregate, Date, Logical, String, Table).

- Proven experience in connecting Power BI to various data sources, including SQL Server (desirable).

- Strong data visualization skills and experience in creating a variety of chart types.

- Experience in publishing reports to app.powerbi.com, configuring connections, and scheduling refreshes.

- Excellent understanding of data modeling and ETL processes.

- Proficient in data cleaning, transformation, and preparation.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience working directly with customers/stakeholders to gather requirements and present findings.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik Sense).

- Knowledge of SQL and database management.

- Experience with Power BI embedded analytics.

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
