Hospital Purchase Manager Supply Chain & Vendor Relations

Experience: Minimum 5 to 10 years in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management, preferably in the hospital, healthcare or medical devices industry.

Role Overview:

As the Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing procurement operations, managing vendor relations, and ensuring the availability of high-quality medical devices and supplies. Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Strategy & Planning:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business goals.
• Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable terms to optimize costs.

• Vendor Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
• Resolve vendor disputes and establish long-term partnerships.

• Supply Chain Management:
• Ensure timely and efficient procurement of medical devices and supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the warehouse team to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Optimize supply chain operations for cost efficiency and reliability.

• Cost Optimization & Budgeting:
• Manage procurement budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.

• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all purchased products meet regulatory and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to maintain compliance with healthcare industry norms.

• Market & Supplier Analysis:
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and trends.
• Stay updated on industry developments to ensure a competitive edge.

• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field; MBA or certification in supply chain management is a plus.

• Experience:
• 5–10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management, preferably in the healthcare or medical devices sector.
• Proven track record of managing vendor relations and negotiating contracts.
