Accounts Analyst - Finance and Accounts

Role & responsibilities

• Reviewing overall Accounts Receivable function and preparation of various analytical reports on customer outstanding.
• Reviewing the transactions related to customer entries.
• Processing the transactions related to any customer Kick backs periodically.
• Verifying and ensuring the completion of the documentation against the sales invoices with respect to the deliveries to the customers.
• Daily communication with the field sales team for the overdue account balances.
• Preparation of the accrued interest report and ensuring the entries into the accounting software and monthly reconciliation of the same.
• Process Accounts payable functions and reviewing the invoices for the accuracy, completeness and authorization of the expenditure.
• Comparing the expenses against the budgeted items and highlighting the discrepancies to the respective department.
• Preparation of the report with regards to the nature of the expense by each vendor and comparing the invoices with the internally sourced references from the respective departments.
• Meticulously review account reconciliations submitted by various departments to ensure accuracy and correcting all detected errors or omissions.
• Recording and/or verifying various financial transactions and historical reports.
• Preparation of the reports and schedules as directed by the management.
• Creation and maintenance of the masters in accounting software.
• Assisting in the Audit functions.
• Research the information as directed by the management.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• ­ Interpret and apply policies and procedures.
• Provide insight into process inefficiencies and recommend process improvement strategies.
• Use initiative, discretion and sound independent judgment withing the established policies and procedures.
• Organize work, set priorities and meet critical deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimum direction.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
• The candidate must have knowledge of,
• Terminologies, practices and procedures of financial and accounting recordkeeping.
• Various computer applications including SAP, MS Office.
• Techniques for dealing effectively with the staff, in person and over the phone.
