Responsibilities :
- Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and secure Azure Wintel solutions based on business requirements.
- Architect and implement Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, and other relevant Azure services.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Manage and maintain Windows Server operating systems in Azure, including patching, updates, and performance tuning.
- Configure and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
- Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for security and configuration management.
- Plan and execute migrations of on-premises Wintel workloads to Azure using tools like Azure Migrate.
- Manage and optimize Azure Virtual Machines for performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement and manage Hyper-V in both on premise and Azure environments.
- Design and implement Azure Virtual Networks, subnets, and network security groups (NSGs).
- Configure and manage Azure VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, and other connectivity solutions.
- Implement and maintain security best practices for Azure Wintel environments, including Azure Security Center and Azure Defender.
- Implement and manage Azure Firewall.
- Monitor Azure Wintel infrastructure performance and availability using Azure Monitor and other tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Azure Wintel environments.
- Implement and maintain logging and alerting systems.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of routine tasks.
- Implement and manage automation workflows using Azure Automation and other tools.
- Implement and manage Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of Azure Wintel infrastructure and processes.
- Provide regular reports on infrastructure performance, availability, and security.
- Participate in audit and compliance related activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and security specialists.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 9-12 years of experience in Windows Server administration and Azure cloud environments.
- Extensive experience with Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, and other core Azure services.
- Deep understanding of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
- Strong experience with virtualization technologies, including Hyper-V.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
- Experience with Azure monitoring and logging tools, such as Azure Monitor and Azure Log Analytics.
- Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Azure Certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Azure Security Engineer Associate are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Experience with SQL server administration in Azure.
