Job Title: Business Development Executive - Digital Marketing Agency
Overview:
The Business Development Executive at a digital marketing agency is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, fostering relationships with potential clients, and promoting the agencys digital marketing services. This role involves driving revenue growth by leveraging digital marketing strategies, creating client proposals, and effectively communicating the agencys offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation & Sales:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, targeting potential clients in various industries.
• Develop and execute strategies for lead generation through digital channels such as email campaigns, social media outreach, and networking.
• Qualify leads and convert them into clients by understanding their marketing needs and presenting tailored digital marketing solutions.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content and outreach strategies that attract new clients.
2. Client Relationship Building:
• Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with potential and existing clients.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, understanding their goals and challenges, and positioning the agency as a solution provider.
• Schedule meetings and presentations to present the agency’s services, case studies, and solutions.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
3. Proposal & Pitch Development:
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and contracts for new and existing clients.
• Tailor digital marketing strategies and campaigns to meet the specific needs and objectives of each client.
• Work with internal teams to create customized pitches, leveraging SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, email marketing, and other digital marketing services.
4. Collaboration with Internal Teams:
• Collaborate with the creative, content, and technical teams to ensure client requirements are met effectively.
• Share client feedback and insights with internal teams to help refine marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Support the execution of client campaigns, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
5. Market Research & Trend Analysis:
• Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities for digital marketing services.
• Stay updated on the latest digital marketing trends and technologies, bringing innovative ideas to clients.
• Assess market conditions and client needs to refine business development strategies.
6. Sales Reporting & Tracking:
• Track sales progress, client engagement, and lead conversion rates.
• Prepare regular reports on sales performance, including revenue generation, new business wins, and sales pipeline status.
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and objectives.
7. Networking & Industry Presence:
• Attend industry events, webinars, and networking meetings to establish the agency’s presence and attract new business.
• Build relationships with key influencers, potential clients, and industry professionals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in a digital marketing agency or related field (1-3 years).
• Knowledge of digital marketing services such as SEO, SEM, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and paid advertising.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to negotiate and close sales deals with clients.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• A proactive, results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales goals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a digital marketing agency or similar environment.
• Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Understanding of Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other marketing platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
