Key Responsibilities :
Client Relations & Representation :
- Support Project Managers in client presentations and workshops.
- Act as a technical expert in client meetings and design delivery stages.
- Represent the company at industry events and contribute to publications.
Design Coordination & Execution:
- Provide subject matter expertise on complex design topics.
- Oversee design coordination across architecture and other disciplines (e.g., structural, MEP).
- Lead design discussions with clients, aligning budgets and preferences.
- Manage design phases from concept to final delivery, including value engineering.
Quality Assurance & Control :
- Conduct thorough reviews and checks on design deliverables.
- Implement quality control policies and procedures.
- Resolve design conflicts during the supervision stage and support peer reviews.
Team Management & Development:
- Lead and mentor design teams, ensuring timely and high-quality work delivery.
- Share knowledge, contribute to internal libraries, and facilitate training.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Core Skills:
- Strong communication skills (English proficiency; Arabic is an advantage).
- Expertise in managing complex, large-scale architectural projects.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deliver them within budget and on time.
- Excellent interpersonal, team management, and mentoring skills.
- Experience with Revit/BIM is desirable.
Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of international architectural design standards and codes.
- Expertise in managing architectural projects of international significance.
Experience Requirements:
- Overall Experience: 25+ years in architectural design, particularly with large-scale, complex projects.
Specific Experience:
- Proven track record in design management in a leading regional or multinational firm.
- Extensive experience with architectural specialty design, including design value engineering.
- Middle East experience is preferred, with a solid understanding of the regional market and standards.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture; Master's or PhD in Architecture preferred.
- Chartered Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is an added advantage.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in large-scale architectural projects.
- Leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Client Satisfaction: 1st Time Approval Rate for design submissions.
- Quality Management: Number of quality complaints, cost of rework due to quality negligence.
- On-Time Delivery: Percentage of submissions delivered on time.
- Chargeability Rate: Efficiency in delivering cost-effective solutions.
