About the team
Our team plays a pivotal role in the development of Stem’s Asset Performance Management applications. Comprising dedicated engineers, UX engineer and a product manager.

What we’re looking for
We are in search of a detail-oriented Front-End Engineer capable of developing user-friendly applications for our Asset Performance Management application. The ideal candidate will transform UX designs and wireframes into functional, accessible applications using standard-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Candidates should have a passion for collaborating with UX designers and product managers to craft the best user experience. Furthermore, the ability to work alongside backend and test automation engineers to define appropriate interfaces and consistently deliver high-quality, exciting new application versions is essential.
A strong appreciation for developing adaptable, reusable UI components for various screen sizes, locales, and browsers is crucial. Candidates must instinctively prioritize
security in application development to protect against malicious attacks.

Responsibilities
● Develop web applications for customers, partners, and staff using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Material UI.
● Work collaboratively with backend engineers and product managers on the design, coding, testing, and delivery of application front ends.

Required Experience
● A master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.
● At least 5 years of experience in web application design and implementation.
● Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6) and CSS.
● In-depth knowledge of React, including context and hooks.
● Familiar with Javascript testing using Jest and Testing Library.
● Proven experience working with UX designers and product managers.
● Demonstrated ability to deliver front-end applications in the cloud.
● Experience in developing UI applications that utilize RESTful backend APIs.
● Familiarity with Agile methodology.
● Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to address diverse audiences.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred but Not Required)
● Experience with Material UI.
● Experience with Storybook.
● Experience with Playwright.
● Experience in mobile development (either progressive web apps or native).
● Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes.
● Experience with continuous integration & delivery toolchains.
