Role Overview Description
Senior Data Scientist
At Solarsystek, we are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis to extract meaningful insights and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. Your expertise in Python and Tableau will enable you to develop predictive models and intuitive dashboards that support our strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Modeling

• Utilize machine learning techniques and statistical modeling to analyze complex datasets and extract actionable insights.
• Build and validate predictive models to drive decision-making and optimize business processes.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver analytics solutions that provide valuable insights.

Dashboard Development

• Design, develop, and maintain automated Tableau dashboards that provide real-time insights into key performance metrics.
• Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, visually appealing, and effectively communicate data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve dashboard designs and analytics deliverables.

Data Pipeline Management

• Work with data engineers to build and optimize data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and implement solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Validate data accuracy and consistency to ensure reliable analysis and reporting.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

• Document analytical processes, model assumptions, and methodologies for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Provide training and support to junior data analysts and other team members on analytical tools and techniques.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance analytics capabilities.

Collaboration

• Participate in cross-functional meetings to gather requirements and present analytical findings to stakeholders.
• Work closely with product teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data in product features and enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering).
• 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, with a robust portfolio of successful data projects.
• Proficiency in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
• Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis and model development.
• Expertise in data visualization and dashboard development using Tableau.
• Familiarity with LLM and Gen AI tools (e.g., CoPilot) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Experience in working with large datasets and cloud-based data environments is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
