Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough testing of finance management software to identify defects, bugs, and performance issues.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and design comprehensive test cases.
• Perform end-to-end testing of finance-related functionalities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and transaction management.
• Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
• Document and report defects, issues, and test results using appropriate bug tracking tools and reporting mechanisms.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of test environments, test data, and testing tools as necessary.
• Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and strategies to enhance overall product quality and testing efficiency.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand technical aspects of the software and provide valuable feedback during the development lifecycle.
• Participate in requirement analysis and design reviews to provide input from a testing perspective.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (B.Tech), Finance, or a related field. Master's degree (MCA) is a plus.
• Proven experience in QA testing, with a strong background in finance or financial management software testing.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, test case design, and test execution.
• Experience in both manual and automated testing, including knowledge of testing tools and frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high IQ and the ability to understand complex financial systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to document defects and issues accurately.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
• Knowledge of bug tracking tools and version control systems.
• A proactive attitude towards identifying potential quality improvements in the software.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and continuous integration processes.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automated testing.
• Understanding of SQL and the ability to write basic queries for database validation.
• Previous experience in testing finance ERP management software or related financial systems.
