Job Description

Role & responsibilities


1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and milestones.
  • Ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors for smooth execution.

2. Budget & Cost Control

  • Prepare project budgets and ensure cost-effective execution.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Approve procurement of materials while ensuring quality and cost efficiency.

3. Resource & Manpower Management

  • Allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure their timely work completion.
  • Ensure workforce productivity and resolve any site-related labor issues.

4. Quality & Compliance

  • Enforce quality control measures as per industry standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental laws, and contract terms.

5. Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and authorities.
  • Provide regular progress updates and handle client concerns proactively.
  • Negotiate with vendors and resolve contractual disputes.

6. Risk Management & Problem-Solving

  • Identify and mitigate project risks (delays, cost overruns, technical issues).
  • Develop contingency plans for unforeseen challenges.
  • Resolve on-site conflicts and ensure smooth coordination among teams.

7. Project Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain daily progress reports, site logs, and project documentation.
  • Prepare and submit project status reports to senior management.
  • Ensure proper documentation for claims, variations, and handover processes.

8. Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce workplace safety measures and ensure PPE compliance.
  • Conduct safety audits and minimize site accidents.
  • Train the workforce on safety protocols and emergency procedures.

9. Vendor & Contract Management

  • Oversee subcontractor and supplier performance.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
  • Evaluate vendor contracts and negotiate favorable terms.

10. Handover & Project Closure

  • Ensure defect rectification and snag list completion before handover.
  • Obtain client approvals and necessary certifications for project closure.
  • Conduct final project evaluation and lessons learned analysis.
