- Oversee the team and ensure that all treasury activities are carried out in accordance with approved policies and guidelines.
- Assisting Head of Treasury Operations in managing entire FX Operations including but not limited to Nostro Recon, FX Card settlements, FX Prop deals settlements, FX inward / outward remittance etc.
- Reports to the Treasury Operations head on any changes in the process followed or deviation from the standard process & if needed make relevant changes & placing it for approval.
- Managing the Treasury internal and external audit processes and engagement with auditors.
- Assuming responsibility of Treasury Operations business continuity plan lead, risk register champion and integrated assurance champion.
- Working collaboratively with the business, acting as an escalation point for unresolved issues, provide specialist financial support and information that they value.
- Ensuring effective reporting of counterparty exposure management and maintenance.
- Ensuring continued focus on process improvement, increased automation of activities and the elimination of non-value-added activities.
- Any other duties including ad-hoc project work that may be assigned to the role holder by senior management from time to time.
- Assist with system implementation projects to improve automation.
Skills Required
- 10-15 years of experience in a Bank managing Treasury Operations with at least 2 years of experience in team handling.
- Recognized degree in Finance, Accounting, or another relevant field. A Professional Accounting or Finance qualification is preferable with previous experience in a financial management or treasury related role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of treasury, debt capital markets, financial instruments, and structures.
- Proven track record in dealing with complex issues proactively and in a timely fashion, along with the ability to make well informed and appropriate decisions and to communicate complex information to others.
- Ability to maintain objective independence while working effectively in a team environment and interacting/advising at Executive and Board level.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully influence key internal and external stakeholders and identify external issues which will impact business performance.
- Proven ability to think strategically and maintain strategic focus while operating across many functional areas in a constantly changing environment.
- Driver of high standards for individual, team and organizational accomplishment and delivering service excellence to internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated leadership ability including proactive development, motivation, and engagement of staff, through coaching and development while empowering staff through delegation of decision making and accountability.
- Ability to translate strategic priorities into operational reality, demonstrating strong decision-making skills and ability to deliver key business results.
- Proven ability to challenge current thinking and to drive and enable continuous improvements.
- Excellent personal communication, leadership, report writing and organizational skills
