About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Treasury Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team in Mumbai.
This role involves overseeing various aspects of Treasury back-office operations, including settlement of transactions, accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Settlement:
- Efficiently settle a wide range of Treasury transactions, including Money Market, Fixed Income, Equities, Foreign Exchange, and Derivatives.
- Verify and authorize deals in various systems within specified timelines.
Accounting and Reporting:
- Prepare and post accurate accounting journals and entries.
- Reconcile various accounts as per defined periodicity.
- Conduct valuations and generate comprehensive MIS reports.
- Prepare reports and Board notes for internal and external stakeholders.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on relevant regulatory guidelines and ensure adherence.
- Submit regulatory returns and maintain accurate data records.
- Collaborate with auditors to address queries and conduct independent audits.
Continuous Improvement:
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and enhance efficiency.
- Contribute to risk management and internal control frameworks.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Undertake other assigned tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 2-6 years of experience in a Treasury Back Office role within a Bank or Financial Institution.
- Hands-on experience in handling Money Market, Fixed Income, Equities, Foreign Exchange, and Derivatives transactions.
- Proficiency in Treasury systems such as ITMS, Calypso, and SWIFT is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and regulatory requirements.
