Process Engineer - Formulation Development Tech Transfer

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To provide technical expertise and process optimization strategies of newly developed formulations during process design (at R&D) and scale up (at plant).
• To be responsible for the scale up of formulation processes from R&D to plant & designing pilot plant trials and full-scale manufacturing trials.
• To be responsible for applying formulation engineering processing knowledge to identify solutions that improve capacity through data analysis, quality and cost efficiency at manufacturing sites.
• To perform the eng./technical calculations using the concepts of Process Engineering (Mathematical modeling, DoE, Process Design, Process simulation, Equipment equivalency, scale up tools, and Automation, etc.) for Process scale at formulation manufacturing sites.
• To lead and participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing manufacturing processes and enhancing overall efficiency.
• To participate in the development of novel process technologies from concept to commercialization internally / externally with academic institutions or consultants etc
• To have deep experience in using process analytical technologies (PAT) in combination with mathematical models (both statistical & first principle) to enhance process understanding to effectively develop/ optimize/ scale-up and troubleshoot processes.
• To collaborate with cross function teams to analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement in productivity, quality and cost-effectiveness.
• To investigate and address root causes related to the manufacturing process.
• To be responsible for Technology Transfer and launch of new products at Unichem Formulation mfg. sites.
• To maintain good documentation of experiments in the lab and ensure adequate and functioning equipment in labs.

• Should have proficient computer skills (MS Office, data analysis, Engg. softwares others)
• Should have good oral and written communication skills
• Should be able to work independently and /or/ with the team
• Should have a high sense of responsibility regarding scientific and professional activities.
• Should have sound knowledge of basic synthetic chemistry
• Should maintain good documentation of experiments in the lab.
• Should ensure adequate and functioning equipment in all labs.
