Assistant Manager - Accessories and Merchandise

Job Summary:

Operations manager for Merchandising is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders at Ultraviolette to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement and fulfilment of products that align with the companys merchandising strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Vendor Selection and Onboarding
  
• Identify and evaluate potential vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  
• Negotiate contracts and terms of agreements with new vendors.
  
• Ensure new vendors are properly onboarded and understand company policies and standards.
  
• Relationship Management
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
  
• Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, addressing any issues or concerns.
  
• Foster long-term partnerships to ensure stability and reliability in the supply chain.
  
• Cost Management
  
• Negotiate favourable terms and pricing with vendors to optimize costs.
  
• Analyse market trends and pricing to ensure competitive procurement.
  
• Work with the finance team to manage budgets and cost forecasts.
  
• Risk Management
  
• Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
  
• Ensure vendors comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  
• Monitor market conditions to anticipate supply disruptions.
  
• Ownership across value chain
  
• Coordinate with sourcing and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
  
• Liaise with quality control teams to ensure product standards are met.
  
• Ensure inventory is in line with anticipated demand
  

Job Requirements:

Experience:

6+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the retail or merchandising sector. Background of global sourcing preferred
