Senior Engineer - Casting & Forging

Role & responsibilities

• Develop casting processes for new and existing products, including pressure die casting, GDC, LPDC and investment casting etc.
• Strong knowledges casting process vs problem solving.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to optimize component geometry for manufacturability.
• Select appropriate materials for casting applications, considering mechanical properties, cost, and performance.
• Perform simulation analysis using casting software to predict and mitigate potential defects.
• Monitor production to ensure adherence to specifications and resolve issues promptly.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment, and material properties.
• Implement and maintain quality control systems to detect and address casting defects such as porosity, shrinkage, or inclusions.
• Familiarity with heat treatment processes and metallurgical testing.
• Should costing knowledge in Product & tooling.
• PPAP, APQP & QMS knowledge.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification: Min - B.E Mechanical, Dip. Tool & Die making, NTTF

Organization: Corporate, OEM, Pvt ltd.
