Product Controller

Exciting opportunity available in Product control team which is responsible for production of daily/monthly pl and balance sheet.- Perform T0 v/s T1 checks- Provide Pcommentary of market to market pl including Market drivers- Review RSBPL Scallops- Reconcile source data to ledger, resolve any breaks- Ensure the maintenance of a strong internal control environment. Attest control tool and maintain evidence of same. - Manage ad hoc queries from stakeholders including front office, coo, financial controllers- Provide daily balance sheet commentary based on business drivers- Clos books in month end including clearing breaks, provide commentary on material PnL moves, posting journals- Perform balance sheet substantiation as per UBS guidelines. - The Product control team is part of Group Finance
Your experience and skills
- University degree or equivalent qualification (preferably CA / MBA or similar)
- Proven experience in Product Control, Financial Control or internal control areas of 0 to 2 years (preferably within the financial industry or professional services firms)
- Very good written and spoken English

- apply product, process, and accounting knowledge to challenge data in order to provide final attestation on a business, regional, and legal entity level
- develop expertise in product area, challenge current controls and detect gaps, along with recommendations for remediation
- build relationship with remote FC teams, foster a strong control environment, but provide growth and opportunity to be part of any change
- be accountable that the Production/Substantiation processes are supported by an appropriate control environment and those controls are performed as intended
- engage in developing skills in several business areas and products, such as Equity Cash, Corporate Client Solutions, and Securities Lending
- support the regional product lead, and act as trusted deputy when required
- build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the FTB environment, such as Front Office, Operations, Risk Control, Regulatory Teams, and IT functions.
- review technological and regulatory changes impacting the daily and monthly work. Identify and risk assess deficiencies in current infrastructure and influence their remediation
