Role : Backend Engineer

Join our team as a Backend Engineer with expertise in Laravel and Lumen.

As a critical member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend of our web applications.

As a Backend Engineer at Securly, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing the backend of our web applications using frameworks like Laravel and Lumen.

You will collaborate closely with frontend developers and other cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of our applications.

What Will You Do :

- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design mock-ups and wireframes into fully functional web applications.

- Develop and maintain backend components and services using Laravel and Lumen.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs, ensuring efficient data exchange between frontend and backend systems.

- Optimize backend code for performance, scalability, and security.

- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate frontend and backend systems seamlessly.

- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and alignment with coding standards.

- Troubleshoot and resolve backend-related issues, ensuring the stability of our applications.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in backend development.

- Mentor and support junior developers as needed.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with 3-5 years of professional experience.

- Strong proficiency in Laravel and Lumen, including API development and database integration.

- Proficiency in PHP and understanding of modern PHP development practices.

- Experience with relational databases (e., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

- Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.

- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

- Ability to adapt to new technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience with micro services architecture.

- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with caching mechanisms (e., Redis).

- Contributions to open-source projects or a GitHub/GitLab portfolio.
