PHP Backend Developer - Symfony/Laravel (2-5 yrs)

Role : Back-End Engineer (Symfony/Laravel) - Complete remote.

As a Back-End Engineer, you'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining our platform's backend services and APIs. Your work will power critical cybersecurity functionalities, including vulnerability management, scan orchestration, authentication, trust centers, inventory management, payment integrations, and more. You'll play a key role in architecting an event-driven, async, and distributed system, ensuring our platform remains secure, reliable, and high-performing.

What You'll Do :

- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Symfony (preferred) or Laravel.

- Collaborate with front-end teams to seamlessly integrate UI with backend logic.

- Work with scanner teams to configure, orchestrate, and ingest vulnerability data.

- Implement security and data protection measures to safeguard user data.

- Continuously optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to enhance reliability.

- Ship production-ready code frequently, ensuring quick iterations and continuous improvement.

- Own the full software lifecycle-from ideation and development to deployment and monitoring.

- Write comprehensive test cases and participate in code reviews to uphold high engineering standards.

What You Bring :

- 3+ years of experience as a backend engineer, ideally in a security-focused SaaS environment.

- Strong proficiency in PHP backend development, with expertise in Symfony (preferred) or Laravel.

- Deep understanding of event-driven architectures, async processing, job queues, and distributed systems.

- Experience with PostgreSQL, including data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.

- Strong grasp of software architecture principles, dependency injection, ORM, error handling, and validation.

- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and cloud-native development (a plus).

- Agile mindset with experience in iterative development and rapid releases.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about technical solutions.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.

- Experience with application and infrastructure security is a huge plus!
