Chief Manager - Operational Risk

Job Purpose:

This position is responsible to proactively identify risks related to process, people and systems and mitigate them. Also responsible for frequently checking the effectiveness of the controls established and report gaps / suggest new controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop operational risk policies under a frame work and identify risks due to process, systems and people in the business processes
• Maintain the risk register up to date based process walk throughs and other incidents
• Periodically do assessments of the processes and check the effectiveness of the controls established and report any gaps
• Evaluate risks on any new processes and technologies before implementation and sign off
• Effectively perform the technical components of risk assessments to provide an accurate view of current risk state
• Assess and design internal controls by applying an understanding of internal control design frameworks and regulatory requirements
• Conduct workshops and brainstorming sessions for business functions and providing support in operational risk identification & assessment
• Travel to different business locations as required and check the adherence to process and controls
• Coordinate all Audit Committee Meetings, presentation and leading discussions on risk, internal audit, control effectiveness & efficiency
• Maintain all documentation of operational risk related assessments and monitor if the KRI thresholds are within the set standards

Job Requirements:

• CA/ICWA/MBA Finance/Commerce Graduate
• Should have min 8 years of experience in Operational Risk from Banks/NBFCs
• Strong understanding of risks entailed in running of a financial institution
• Experience in auditing processes and publishing reports
• Hands-on experience developing and driving programs or projects within schedules
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence people and teams at every level in the organization
