Manager - Wind Power (Lender Engineering)

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Manager - Wind Power to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wind or hybrid power projects, with expertise in Lender Engineering, design knowledge, and a focus on DPR (Detailed Project Report) preparation and reporting. You will play a key role in managing the technical, commercial, and regulatory aspects of wind and hybrid energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Possess an in-depth understanding of wind power technology and hybrid power projects.
• Lead Lender Engineering activities, ensuring thorough review of design documents and compliance with project and financial requirements.
• Provide design reviews to ensure alignment with industry standards and project goals.
• Independently prepare DPRs for wind and hybrid projects, ensuring accuracy and clarity in project feasibility, resource assessment, and financial projections.
• Manage project reporting, ensuring the timely preparation and delivery of detailed project reports, progress updates, and financial summaries.
• Oversee project management activities, including cost control, team handling, and effective communication with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with standards and guidelines such as IS, IEC, International Guidelines, and regulations issued by CEA, CERC, MNRE, etc.
• Demonstrate expertise in managing wind-solar hybrid projects, ensuring efficient integration and use-case adaptation.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on clear and concise reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Aptitude for data analysis, including statistical methods and use of relevant software tools.
• Expertise in using Excel spreadsheets and macros for analysis, reporting, and project tracking.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
• 8-12 years of experience in wind power projects or related fields, with specific experience in Lender Engineering, design reviews, and DPR & reporting.
• Proven experience in preparing and presenting DPRs, including feasibility studies, resource assessments, and project reporting.
• Strong experience in project management, including cost control, team management, and stakeholder communication.
• Familiarity with standards and guidelines (IS, IEC, CEA, CERC, MNRE) and industry best practices.
