The Planning and Scheduling Manager will play a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing the planning, scheduling, and execution of renewable energy projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to timelines, reporting, and effective communication among various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Roles & Responsibilities 1. Project Planning:
Develop comprehensive project plans that encompass all phases of renewable energy projects, including feasibility studies, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and contractors to gather input and ensure alignment on project schedules and deliverables.
Utilize project management tools (Primavera P6) to create detailed work breakdown structures and project schedules.
2. Scheduling and Coordination:
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
Monitor project milestones and deliverables, proactively identifying and addressing potential delays.
Coordinate with various stakeholders, including engineering, SCM, Operations and other functions, to ensure seamless project execution.
3. Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project timelines.
Implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential challenges and deviations from the project plan.
4. Performance Monitoring:
Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project progress and performance.
Generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting project status, potential issues, and proposed solutions.
5. Budget and Resource Management:
Monitor construction budgets and expenditures to ensure they align with approved project budgets.
Optimize resource allocation to meet project objectives efficiently.
6. Problem Solving:
Address and resolve project related issues in a timely and effective manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to unforeseen challenges.
7. Project Closure:
Collaborate with project managers to prepare and submit project closure report.
Identification of lessons learned and areas of improvement.
Experience
7+ Years of experience in planning and scheduling roles for renewable energy (Wind, Solar, Hybrid) projects.
