Lead-Power Trading

Job Summary:

The Lead Power Trader is responsible for managing and optimizing the trading portfolio of renewable energy assets. This role involves conducting the trading team, developing trading strategies, and ensuring compliance with market regulations, seeking all approvals which are needed for such trading. The Lead Power Trader will work closely with various internal teams including Asset Management to maximize profitability and manage risks associated with renewable energy trading.

Key Responsibilities:

• Trading and Portfolio Management: Develop and execute trading strategies for renewable energy assets, including wind, solar, and hydro. Optimize the trading portfolio to maximize profitability while managing risks.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify trading opportunities and trends. Use quantitative and qualitative data to inform trading decisions.
• Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks associated with renewable energy trading. Develop and implement risk management strategies.
• Compliance and approvals: Ensure all trading activities comply with market regulations and company policies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and their impact on trading operations. Seeking all approvals pre and post the trading.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations, finance, and legal, to support trading activities and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on trading performance, market conditions, and risk management to senior management.
• Supervision and Training: Supervise and mentor team members, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance.
