Job Description
The Electrical Engineer is a key technical role responsible for overseeing the electrical aspects of renewable energy projects. This includes reviewing design, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems for various renewable energy technologies. The Electrical Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of electrical components, compliance with safety standards, and optimal performance of renewable energy systems.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Electrical Design & Drawing Review: - Ensure work is carried out as per the specification in drawing.
- Provide design related inputs to site electrical lead.
- Manage relationships with contractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines.
- Ensure daily progress at site as plan.
- Maintaining of daily progress report and submission to site electrical lead.
- Work closely with regulatory authorities to secure necessary permits for electrical installation activities.
- Ensure compliance with state and central regulations related to electrical engineering and construction.
- Conducting of work-related training to sub vendors.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, working closely with construction teams and contractors.
- Conduct quality assurance checks during installation to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Understand & Implement ESMS (Environment & Social Management System) policies and guidelines.
- Implement and enforce electrical safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and address any electrical safety concerns promptly.
- Conduct electrical testing and performance assessments to ensure the reliability and efficiency of renewable energy systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, coordinating with maintenance teams as needed.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure that electrical installations meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality requirements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of electrical as built drawings, installations, and maintenance procedures.
- Prepare reports and updates for project managers and stakeholders.
- Weekly Reconciliation of material.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, construction managers, and other engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 5+ Years of experience in electrical work including testing and commissioning, with a focus on renewable energy projects (Wind, Solar, Hybrid).
- HT & SCADA knowledge and practical experience would be preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in the renewable energy sector.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- At site across PAN India
