Job Description: Marketing Manager (Medical)
Position: Marketing Manager

Position Overview:
- We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Marketing
- Manager to lead and execute strategic marketing initiatives for The Selvan hospital. This position requires expertise in driving patient acquisition (both walk-ins and international), managing medical representative relationships, and overseeing the procurement of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Acquisition and Engagement (Local & International):
Drive Walk-In Patient Traffic:
- Develop and implement targeted local marketing campaigns to attract walk-in patients across all specialties offered by the hospital.
Medical Tourism Development:
- Design and execute tailored strategies to attract international patients seeking high-quality medical care in our hospital.
Key actions include:
- Promoting specialized treatment offerings to medical tourism agencies and international patients.
- Establishing partnerships with overseas healthcare providers and embassies to create patient referral networks.
- Engaging in international marketing efforts, including attending medical tourism conferences, digital marketing campaigns, and outreach to global patient communities.
Medical Representative Relationship Management:
Develop Strong Relationships with Medical Reps:
- Collaborate with pharmaceutical sales representatives, medical device suppliers, and healthcare vendors to ensure the hospital is stocked with essential medicines, devices, and technologies.
Product Promotion & Introduction:
- Facilitate the introduction of new therapies, drugs, and equipment, ensuring clinical teams are aware of the latest medical advancements available for patient care.
Optimize Supply Chain:
- Ensure that the supply chain for pharmaceuticals and medical supplies is streamlined and cost-effective while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Procurement of Medicines, Medical Devices, and Supplies:
Oversee Procurement Functions:
- Manage the purchasing of medicines, medical devices, and other necessary supplies for all hospital departments. Ensure the hospital maintains appropriate stock levels and handles urgent procurement needs.
Supplier and Vendor Negotiation:
- Build and sustain relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable contract terms, and timely deliveries of high-quality products.
Inventory and Compliance Management:
- Ensure hospital operations are never hindered by supply shortages. Oversee inventory management systems to track stock levels, expiry dates, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Hospital Branding and Public Relations:
Enhance Brand Recognition:
- Strengthen the hospital's position as a leader in multispecialty healthcare by developing comprehensive branding strategies that highlight the hospital's clinical expertise, state-of-the art technology, and exceptional patient outcomes.
- Public Relations & Media Outreach: Coordinate media outreach, press releases, and hospital events aimed at raising the hospital's profile, particularly in international markets.
- Patient Education and Trust Building: Develop and execute campaigns that educate patients about the hospital's services and treatment offerings, building trust and patient loyalty.
Marketing Strategy:
- Targeted Marketing for High-Demand Specialties: Focus on specialty services like oncology, cardiology, orthopedics, fertility treatments, and advanced surgical procedures, crafting campaigns to attract relevant patient demographics.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
- Analyze Market Trends: Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends, gaps in the healthcare sector, and opportunities for growth.
- Competitor Benchmarking: Perform competitive analysis to monitor market dynamics and ensure the hospital remains competitive in the local and international healthcare market.
- Adapt Campaigns Based on Data: Leverage data analytics to adjust and optimize marketing strategies, ensuring higher patient conversion rates and engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Clinical Teams: Work closely with the hospital's clinical departments to stay informed about new procedures, treatments, and technologies that should be marketed to potential patients.
- Marketing & Operations Synergy: Ensure seamless communication with hospital operations and supply chain teams to ensure procurement aligns with marketing efforts, particularly for high-demand services
Reporting and Performance Measurement:
- Track Campaign Effectiveness: Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights on patient acquisition, return on investment (ROI), and lead generation.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact and results.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years of healthcare marketing experience.
- Proven track record in medical tourism, patient acquisition, and pharmaceutical procurement in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Skills:
- Strong vendor management and experience in negotiating with suppliers of medical products.
- Excellent understanding of healthcare marketing principles, medical tourism, and patient flow strategies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Expertise in content marketing and brand management in a healthcare context.
- Data-driven decision-making with a strong understanding of analytics and performance metrics.
Languages:
- Proficiency in English, Hindi; additional language are a plus for international outreach.
