Job Title: Marketing and Public Relations Specialist.
Department: Marketing.
Reports To: Sr. Creative Director (Marketing).
Summary:.
This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy that elevates the company's brand and thought leadership within the industry.
This includes managing media relations, crafting compelling content, and overseeing award submissions.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of public relations, content creation, and media outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
CONTENT CREATION AND COMMUNICATIONS:.
- Write compelling content:.
o Draft press releases for new campaigns, new clients, new hires, organizational changes, and awards.
o Prepare responses for interviews, by-line articles, and thought leadership pieces.
Proof read everything.
o Create content for internal newsletters and other communication channels.
- Develop and manage social media presence:.
o Populate Kinnect socials, prioritizing LinkedIn.
o Utilize AI tools to assist in creating LinkedIn captions & content.
MEDIA RELATIONS AND VISIBILITY:
- Manage media inquiries and relationships:.
o Liaise with the PR agency to manage and provide content for media inquiries, interview requests, and press releases.
- Develop and execute media relations strategies:.
o Secure campaign placements in print and online media.
o Identify and secure panel/forum and profiling opportunities for leadership.
- Maintain brand visibility:.
o Manage branding and visibility internally and externally.
AWARDS MANAGEMENT:.
- Track industry awards:.
o Monitor relevant industry awards and opportunities & liaise with publications.
- Facilitate award submissions:.
o Overlook internal award submission processes.
REPORTING AND CONTENT MANAGEMENT:.
- Maintain a comprehensive repository:.
o Record, organize and store all created content, including press releases, articles, and social media posts.
- Facilitate website updates:.
o Share relevant content with the web team for website updates.
Required Skillset:.
Enthusiastic and self-driven, with a passion for social media and brand building.
3+ years of experience in a public relations, communications, or marketing role.
Strong writing and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Familiarity with AI writing tools and their applications.
Proficient in social media platforms, especially LinkedIn, with a strategic mindset.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
A creative thinker with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
