Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Fine Arts lessons to students across various grade levels.
Develop and implement a comprehensive Fine Arts curriculum that incorporates different media and techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art.
Ensure lessons are tailored to meet the needs and abilities of students, fostering both individual expression and technical skills.
Student Development & Evaluation:
Assess students progress and provide constructive feedback on their work.
Encourage critical thinking and creativity through both individual and group projects.
Motivate students to develop their own unique artistic voice while honing their craft.
Classroom Management:
Create a positive and safe learning environment that encourages artistic exploration and self-expression.
Manage classroom behavior and ensure students follow safety protocols, especially in hands-on art activities.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other teachers and staff to integrate Fine Arts into the broader educational experience.
Collaborate with the school community to organize art exhibitions, competitions, and performances.
Artistic Engagement:
Foster an appreciation for various art forms through field trips, guest speakers, or local museum visits.
Guide students in preparing art pieces for school exhibitions, art fairs, or public showcases.
Professional Development:
Stay updated on new art trends, techniques, and teaching methods.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to improve teaching effectiveness and artistic expertise.
Requirements
Skills:
Strong proficiency in multiple art forms, including but not limited to drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong classroom management and organizational abilities.
Passionate about the arts and teaching, with a creative and patient approach to students learning.
Education: Bachelor s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field. A Master s degree or certification in teaching Fine Arts is a plus.
Experience: At least 2-3 years of teaching experience in Fine Arts (preferred). Experience working with diverse age groups and varying skill levels is beneficial.
