**Job Title:** Network Architect – Low-Latency Multicast Networking for Financial Institutions

**About the Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Architect specializing in the design and implementation of low-latency multicast networks tailored for financial institutions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with AWS Outposts, hybrid cloud networking, and network automation through scripting. This role focuses on architecting and optimizing ultra-low-latency network infrastructures, ensuring high availability, security, and seamless integration with financial trading platforms.

### Key Responsibilities:

#### Low-Latency Multicast Network Design:
- Architect and implement high-performance, low-latency multicast networks specifically designed for financial applications, ensuring ultra-fast data transmission.
- Optimize multicast routing protocols including PIM-SM, IGMP, MSDP, BGP, and OSPF for efficient data distribution.
- Proactively reduce jitter and packet loss while maximizing throughput and overall network efficiency.

#### AWS Outposts & Hybrid Cloud Networking:
- Design and deploy AWS Outposts infrastructure to extend cloud-based networking into on-premises environments effectively.
- Implement hybrid cloud connectivity utilizing AWS Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and VPNs.
- Ensure compliance, security, and resilience in hybrid networking configurations to support critical financial operations.

#### Network Automation & Discovery:
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, and other languages to facilitate network discovery, monitoring, and configuration management.
- Implement automated network discovery solutions to accurately map and document existing network topologies, both on-premise and in the cloud.
- Utilize network automation tools such as Netbox, Nornir, Napalm, and Batfish to enhance operational efficiencies.

#### Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting:
- Conduct performance analysis focusing on latency, jitter reduction, and packet inspection utilizing tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or ExtraHop.
- Troubleshoot and effectively resolve network issues that impact high-frequency trading (HFT) and critical financial transactions.
- Collaborate closely with security teams to fortify multicast networks against potential threats and unauthorized access.

### Required Skills & Qualifications:

- **Experience:** 7+ years in network architecture, with a minimum of 3+ years specifically within financial industry networking.
- **Expertise in Multicast:** Proven hands-on experience with multicast protocols including PIM, IGMP, and MSDP.
- **AWS Networking Proficiency:** In-depth understanding of AWS Outposts, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPC peering, and hybrid cloud networking methodologies.
- **Automation & Scripting Knowledge:** Strong expertise in Python, Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell for network automation and discovery.
- **High-Performance Networking:** Comprehensive knowledge of low-latency networking, high-frequency trading, and multicast traffic engineering principles.
- **Security & Compliance Awareness:** Familiarity with network segmentation, DDoS protection measures, firewall policies, and financial compliance regulations (SEC, FINRA, MiFID II, etc.).
- **Monitoring & Troubleshooting Tools Experience:** Proficient use of Wireshark, NetFlow, SNMP, Splunk, and network observability platforms.

### Certifications (Preferred):
- CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) or equivalent.
- AWS Advanced Networking Specialty.
- Juniper JNCIE / Arista ACE / Palo Alto PCNSE.
