JOB PURPOSE:
To identify customer's articulated and unarticulated needs and converting these insights into differentiated products and services as well as implement communication strategies (ATL and /or BTL) and roll out new products to achieve category business objective.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. PROFITABILITY: To ensure that profitability targets are met in each product segment.
2. NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT:
- Interaction with R&D for adhering to consumer requirements, timelines and customer inputs.
- Monitor the designing of new products through competitive intelligence and phasing out, planning decisions.
- Develop market-wise product portfolio (Rep sales, OE, Exports) and give design inputs to R&D based on consumer insights.
3. PRICING:
- Calculate landing price vis- vis competition & benchmarking with the best in class.
- Determine competitive yet profitable pricing strategy for products and revise rates of old products.
- Develop the price model and portfolio strategy for new products
4. SALES:
- Monitor the continuous improvement of market share and meeting of targets through follow up with all RMs, ZMs and ZBMs.
- Execute marketing & sales promotion initiatives through product promotion, Road shows, TVCs,
BTL activities, schemes and discounts.
5. MARKET RESEARCH: Analyze market trends based on consumer insights, sales volumes, requirements and satisfaction levels of dealers.
6. FORECASTING: Gauge product demand based on seasonal factors, potential and capability to sell & liaison with logistics dept for adherence to demand targets.
7. STRATEGIC: To explore outsourcing options and seek partners to meet demands, develop strong customer initiative programs and overall strategy to position CEAT as a preferred brand
8. MIS: Prepare timely reports on product sales, customer acquisitions, KAM etc.

- Data Interpretation Ability (Capable) (ability to study & interpret data/trends and draw inferences/projections; research methodology and ability to structure research)
- Customer Orientation (Advanced) - (Cultural orientation to engage with customers, proactively assess their needs and continuously create value for them; ability to develop brand identity and sales strategy with distinct segment USP and building customer preference)
- Business Focus (Advanced) - (Knowhow on organization mission ,Code of conduct, product SKUs, accountabilities w.r.t market scenario & competition & ability to apply in one's role; build long-term strategy, launch short term tactical campaigns)
- Relationship Management (Advanced) ( ability to develop & sustain business relationship to one's advantage)
- Product Acumen (Advanced) (ability to generate product solutions/offerings catering to business needs; liaison with ad agencies and understand advertising process)
