Associate Manager - Supplychain Analyst

Position Overview

The Demand Planning and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Data Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring accurate demand forecasts, optimizing supply chain operations, and supporting the execution of the IBP process. This position focuses on leveraging data analytics to improve forecasting accuracy, drive cross-functional collaboration, and enhance decision-making within the demand planning and IBP framework.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Collection and Analysis :
• Gather, clean, and validate demand-related data from various sources, including sales, marketing, and external market data.
• Analyze historical sales trends, market data, and customer insights to generate accurate demand forecasts.
2. Demand Forecasting :
• Develop and maintain statistical and analytical models to predict future demand patterns.
• Monitor forecast accuracy (e.g., MAPE, BIAS) and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
3. Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Support :
• Support IBP cycles by preparing data, reports, and dashboards for executive reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, finance, and marketing) to align on demand and supply plans.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support scenario planning and what-if analyses.
4. Reporting and Visualization :
• Create dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to visualize demand trends and KPIs.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
5. System and Tool Management :
• Manage and maintain demand planning and IBP tools, ensuring data integrity and usability.
• Support the implementation of new demand planning systems or enhancements.
6. Process Improvement :
• Identify gaps and inefficiencies in the demand planning and IBP processes and propose improvements.
• Implement best practices and standardized processes to enhance forecast reliability and IBP effectiveness.
7. Collaboration :
• Act as a liaison between data analytics teams and demand planning stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Support cross-functional communication to align demand forecasts with business strategies.

Skills requirement :

1. SCM Domain knowledge : Forecasting and Demand Planning, S&OP, Supply planning, Inventory predominantly, other SCM functions (Procurement, Logistics, Order management, Manufacturing) added advantage
2. Awareness on how these processes generates and stores data in backend database (No specific system knowledge like SAP/BY/Kinaxis is explicitly required, just an understanding of this cloud architecture and process) + reasonably strong in SQL for data exploration
3. Fundamental level of Data modelling knowledge on Relational and Dimensional modelling
