Trantor Software - Software Test Engineer - Java/Selenium (6-7 yrs)

Job Summary :

- Champion software testing and verification/validation activities.

- Test Engineers are responsible for conducting automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers fits its purpose.

- Assessing codes is one of the main duties of test engineers. This includes test planning, test development, test execution and test results reporting for new features and regression, integration testing, system and application testing.

Primary Responsibilities :

- Test and prove that the software meets major architectural requirements

- Prove for scalability and performance of a software

- Create and maintain test cases and manual/automated test scripts

- Find defects in software, characterize defects, collect logs and open defect tickets

- Feature specific testing, Integration testing, Regression testing

- Create test reports of errors with supporting traces, log files and excellent descriptions

- Ensure test results are documented and communicated appropriately and defects have been entered in the defect management tool

- Ensuring the quality of the system as a whole

- Work with firmware developers and validation engineers

- Develop and automate tests for software validation

- Prepare file defect reports and report test progress

Qualifications :

- Technical Degree or related work experience

- Experience in software QA, software testing, and/or similar roles

- Expertise in test case development, test execution, test management, test status reporting

- Good working knowledge of functional and non-functional software testing, the software test life cycle, and various test design methodologies.

- Good working knowledge of test automation, test case scripting, and scripting languages

- Experience of working in an agile, fast-paced environment.
