Desktop Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Engineer to join our IT team in the Deskside Support function. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate who is eager to begin a career in IT support, providing hands-on technical assistance to end-users in our Gurugram office.

Key Responsibilities

• Hardware and Software Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Operating System Support: Install, configure, and provide troubleshooting support for Windows and macOS environments.
• Application Support: Handle user issues with office applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and email clients.
• Basic Network Support: Aid in troubleshooting basic networking issues, including connectivity and configuration of network devices.
• End-User Guidance: Provide user training on software use, security practices, and IT policies to improve their technical understanding.
• Incident Documentation: Record issues, solutions, and steps in the ticketing system; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Asset Management: Track and manage IT assets, including computers, accessories, and software licenses.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Technical Knowledge: Fundamental knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, operating systems, and networking basics.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a logical approach to issue resolution.
• Customer Focus: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a dedication to providing great service.
• Adaptability: Ability to work onsite in Gurugram and adapt to different shifts as needed.
