Senior Software Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural Design:Design and implement robust architectural frameworks specifically for payment systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with payment industry standards.
• Technology Leadership:Lead teams in adopting best practices for payment processing solutions, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:Partner with product managers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to design technical solutions that align with payments-specific business needs.
• Compliance Expertise:Ensure all payment systems adhere to key compliance standards, such as PCI DSS and EMVCo, and implement best practices for data protection, encryption, and tokenization.
• Problem Solving:Analyze and resolve complex technical challenges related to payment processing, transaction routing, and system performance.
• Code Review and Standards:Oversee coding standards and conduct reviews to ensure adherence to architectural principles tailored to the payments ecosystem.
• Mentorship:Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence in payments technology.

Qualifications:

• Payments Experience (Required):
• Deep knowledge of payment processing systems, including payment gateways, transaction flows, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Expertise in payment security technologies, such as encryption, tokenization, and fraud prevention strategies.
• Familiarity with emerging payments trends, including real-time payments, digital wallets, and blockchain.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong background in programming languages like Java, Python, or C#.
• Expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proficiency with database systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience:At least 10 years in software development with 5+ years as a software architect, primarily in payments or fintech domains.
• Leadership:Proven ability to lead architectural initiatives and mentor engineering teams, specifically in payments technology.
• Education:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Masters preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of real-time transaction systems and high-availability architectures in payments.
