Position: Housekeeping Room Attendant

Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor / Manager

Location: The Sahil Hotel

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort for our guests. This role ensures that guest rooms and public areas are cleaned, organized, and well-stocked according to hotel policies and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Room Cleaning & Maintenance

• Clean and tidy guest rooms daily, including making beds, changing linens, and dusting furniture.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, ensuring a dust-free and spotless environment.
• Sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, bathtubs/showers, and mirrors.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners.
• Ensure all in-room amenities (towels, toiletries, water, coffee/tea, etc.) are replenished.

2. Common Area Cleaning

• Maintain cleanliness in hotel corridors, lobbies, and other public spaces.
• Ensure hallways, staircases, and elevators are clean and presentable.

3. Laundry & Linen Handling

• Collect and replace used linens, towels, and guest laundry (if applicable).
• Handle in-house laundry operations, including washing, drying, and ironing.
• Store and organize clean linens properly.

4. Inspection & Reporting

• Check rooms for maintenance issues (damaged furniture, faulty lights, plumbing issues) and report them to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.
• Report lost and found items to the front desk.

5. Guest Service & Support

• Respond to guest requests for extra towels, pillows, or room service needs.
• Ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere by providing friendly and professional service.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of guest information and belongings.

Requirements & Qualifications:

✔ Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
✔ Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
✔ Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for long periods.
✔ Good time management and organizational skills.
✔ Basic communication skills for guest interaction.
✔ Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
✔ Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
