The Oceann - Manager - Business Development (4-6 yrs)

Position Overview:

- We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) with 4-6 years of experience to join our global team.

- This role is ideal for professionals with a passion for sales, technology, and maritime innovation.

- As a BDM, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities, building relationships, and driving growth in the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the maritime sector, focusing on AI-driven and digital solutions.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including C-level executives.

- Understand client needs and propose tailored solutions leveraging our suite of maritime products.

- Stay updated on industry trends, including commodities trading, chartering intelligence tools, freight trading, and voyage management.

- Manage live P&L tracking and financial reporting for client accounts.

- Ensure compliance with CII regulations and oversee accurate data reporting, including noon data.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings and client satisfaction.

- Negotiate contracts, close deals, and achieve sales targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 4-6 years of proven experience in a client-facing role within the maritime industry.

- Knowledge of maritime operations, including commodities trading, freight trading, and voyage management.

- Familiarity with generative AI applications, chartering intelligence tools, and financial management systems.

- Strong understanding of CII compliance and data reporting processes.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data to drive decision-making.

- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Maritime Studies, or a related field (preferred)
