Job Summary:
- The Business Analyst for the hospitality sector is responsible for supporting the hotel's operational, financial, and customer experience goals through data analysis, insights, and strategic recommendations.
- They will work closely with departments like revenue management, sales & marketing, finance, and guest services to optimize performance, improve guest satisfaction, and contribute to the hotel's overall business strategy.
Data Collection & Analysis:
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, including reservations, financials, customer feedback, and market research.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as occupancy rates, RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room), ADR (Average Daily Rate), and customer satisfaction scores.
Forecasting & Financial Modeling:
- Develop financial and operational forecasts, helping management make informed budgeting and investment decisions.
- Build models for pricing, demand forecasting, and resource allocation to maximize revenue and minimize costs.
Market & Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay updated on industry trends, guest preferences, and competitor strategies.
- Analyze market share and identify growth opportunities based on data-driven insights.
Reporting & Dashboards:
- Create, maintain, and present dashboards and regular reports to management, providing clear, actionable insights.
- Generate ad-hoc reports for various departments to assist in targeted decision-making.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Partner with teams such as Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management, and Guest Services to align data insights with strategic goals.
- Provide analytical support for promotional campaigns, loyalty programs, and guest experience initiatives.
Guest Experience Enhancement:
- Analyze guest feedback and survey data to identify areas of improvement in services and amenities.
- Support the development of strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
Operational Efficiency:
- Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement in hotel operations, making recommendations to streamline workflows and improve service delivery.
- Evaluate the performance of various initiatives and provide insights for operational enhancements.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a business analysis or data-driven role, preferably in the hospitality or service industry.
- Analytical Skills and Business Analysis expertise.
- Strong Communication skills.
- Experience in Business Process improvement.
- Ability to gather and document Business Requirements.
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry is a plus.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
