Job DescriptionThe Trainee helps in maintenance of the computer settings by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, supporting the internal IT Helpdesk etc. In addition, the Trainee shall be trained (both internal and external) on relevant skills/tools required to perform along with various communication/personality development trainings.Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common desktop and laptop issues, including:
  • Operating system problems (Windows, macOS)
  • Hardware malfunctions (printers, scanners, monitors)
  • Software installation and configuration
  • Account lockout issues
  • Network connectivity problems
  • Basic troubleshooting of peripheral devices
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
  • Document and track all support requests and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior technicians when necessary.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
  • Assist with other IT-related projects as assigned.

Essential SkillsJob

  • Minimum 6months-2 years of experience in IT Industry
  • Strong interest in IT support and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
  • experience with common office productivity software (Microsoft Office Suite) is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.

Personal

  • Should understand business objectives and organization structure
  • The candidate must have strong work ethics and trustworthiness
  • The candidate should possess attention to detail and maintain confidentiality and integrity
  • Must be highly collaborative and be a team player with commitment to excellence

Preferred SkillsJob

  • Knowledge of OS like Win 10 & Standard Application - Installation, configuration & Troubleshooting.
  • Experience on hardware troubleshooting, installation, configuration.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office products like Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated, fast learner with the ability to operate independently
  • Work in rotational Shifts including night shifts.

Other Relevant Information
Certifications like CompTIA IT Fundamentals, CompTIA A+ or MCP would be added advantage
