Job Description

The Senior Area Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing sales operations within a designated territory, ensuring that sales goals are met, and managing a team of sales professionals. This role involves strategic planning, client relationship management, and market analysis to drive growth and maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Execution :
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within the assigned area.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Set and monitor sales goals and performance metrics for the team.
Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Provide ongoing training, support, and performance evaluations to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and review progress against targets.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
  • Address client concerns and issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute client retention strategies and initiatives.
Sales Performance Monitoring:
  • Track and analyze sales performance data to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Adjust sales tactics and strategies based on performance data and market feedback.
Market Development:
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities and potential customers within the assigned area.
  • Conduct market research to understand competitor activities, customer preferences, and emerging trends.
  • Develop and implement local marketing initiatives and promotions to drive sales.
Budget and Resource Management:
  • Manage the sales budget for the area, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  • Optimize sales processes and allocate resources efficiently to maximize ROI.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, product management, customer service) to align sales efforts with company objectives.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor s degree
  • Experience: Minimum of [7-8] years of sales experience in edible oil (mustard oil, refined oil).
