Senior Purchase Executive

Job description

• Collaborates with other department to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions.
• Assesses current material availability ; reasonably predicts future availability based on the market, delivery systems, and other variables.
• Prepares and presents market conditions and merchandise cost reports.
• Prepares and processes purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure to follow the proper purchase process and prepare purchase manual and flow chart for all institution.
• Inviting quotations, negotiating and finalizing the pricings.
• Obtaining the necessary approvals and processing the orders.
• Preparing the cost estimations for new projects.
• You will ensure procurement of quality & quantity on time with focus on Cost optimization and savings.
• Provide all updated MIS, Information and costing to HOD
• Analyze data to propose changes to procurement policies and workflows.
• Clarify product specifications, cost estimation and project logistics.
• Develop new vendor relationships. Develop sourcing proposals.
• Draft contracts for management approval.
• Ensure procurement operations and workflows comply with regulatory safety and quality requirements.
• Evaluate vendor performance to propose recommendations for future business dealings.
• Liaise with key stakeholders on modifications to sourcing proposals.
• Manage non-conformities in delivery schedules and products.
• Monitor procurement budget and expenditure.
• Participate in strategic sourcing activities, bid evaluation, and vendor selection processes.
• Prepare bid solicitations based on pre-qualification and assessment criteria for vendor selection.
• Prepare vendor category and spend analysis reports.
• Review and shortlist bid submissions.

Required Candidate profile

• Preferred candidate from Mumbai Suburbs only.
• Proven working experience as Purchasing Head.
• Drafts, explains, and implements instructions, policies, and procedures for purchasing and contract management.
• Evaluates and approves conditions for issuing and awarding bids.
• Resolves grievances with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
• Maintains and/or implements purchasing and record keeping systems
• Acts as the organizations representative in negotiations with suppliers.
• Coordinates removal or disposal of surplus materials
• Understanding of market trends and industry dynamics
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
