Job Description
- Identify suppliers, drive sourcing and contacting based on business needs in line with supplier management strategies in Pipes, Fittings and Raw Materials
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Raw material suppliers, Steel Mills, Pipes Fittings supplier, including traders. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Drive compliance to category strategy, supplier base plan, supplier management processes, contracts and best practices. Participates in target setting, follow up and corrective action.
- Ensures correct usage of relevant tools including tools for data analysis and negotiation. Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Track global and Indian commodity markets, trends and competitiveness closely to share required inputs for internal business entities
- Support internal procurement by selecting and external commodity buying by recommending competitive supply base that meet complete quality and performance requirements.
- Negotiate and conclude supplier agreements in a timely manner complying with company policies, regulations, and standards.
We believe you have
- Preferably global or international experience, 5 plus years in sourcing contracting and supplier base management. Degree in Engineering preferred.
- Professional who is driven, self-going candidate with great networking skills. Your strong communication skills combined with your interpersonal capabilities enable you to easily interact cross borders both internally and externally. You also have a good understanding of commodity markets including but not limited to SS Steel, Aluminum and Copper.
- Strong experience in handling multiple suppliers in Pipes, Fittings and Raw Materials with proven negotiation and supplier integration skills.
- Good domain knowledge along with proven techno commercial skills in the required categories.
